The interaction of two enzymes (luciferase and FMN-reductase) isolated from luminescent bacteria Vibrio fischeri, Vibrio harveyi, and Photobacterium phosphoreum was investigated. These enzymes form complexes and the FMN-reductases stimulate the activity of the luciferases irrespectively of their origin.

KEY WORDS: bacterial luciferase, FMN-reductase, enzyme complex.
