The steady-state kinetics of NADH peroxidation was studied. Conditions were determined under which the oxidase pathway of NADH oxidation does not take place. The values of kcat and Km were determined at pH 4.7-8.2. Nucleophilic compounds do not activate the NADH peroxidation; the mechanisms of oxidation of NADH and inorganic ions are similar.

KEY WORDS: horseradish peroxidase, peroxidation, NADH.
